A haiku about each song for the uninitiated…

2080 by Baltimore own’s aptly named Yeasayer

“In 2080,

we’ll surely be dead, but we’re

glad to be here! Yeah!”

We may disagree

’bout religion, but Pick ‘Em

Muscle ‘n Flo by Menomena

“I love the sound of

Menomena in the morn,

it sounds like victr’y.”

San Francisco, CA

Over the weekend, nearly 60,000 hippies and mopes descended upon San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, where an impromptu music festival was held to celebrate the commencement of the 139th NFL Pick ‘Em Spectacular. A very peaceful and accepting riot broke out when the crowd was told only 13 lucky winners would be selected to participate in the pool.

After the wreckage had been cleared, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke remarked that he was “chuffed to bits to meet the APT, but Bruister’s the mutt’s nuts. I’d like to have a flutter on him to win it all this year.”

Our beleagured staff is still working on a translation. More with less this year, people. More with less.

“I’m thinking, ‘Snap the ball. Snap the ball,’ ” the future Hall of Famer said. “There’s a backside A-gap, and I promise I’m gonna shoot it. He was sitting out there, and I’m like, I’m gonna kill this dude.”
